R&B super­star Akon is in town and B-town is all abuzz!

The mas­sive hit maker has spent some time in India to per­form at Shahrukh Khan’s IPL kick-off party and to record a song for the King of Bollywood’s next movie “Ra.One” co-starring the ever so beau­ti­ful Kareena Kapoor.

Shahrukh, Bebo and “Ra.One” direc­tor Anub­hav Sinha held a press con­fer­ence with Akon on Tues­day at Mumbai’s Sahara Star hotel.

And SRK had a hard time hid­ing his excite­ment to hang out with Akon! The two even sang a snip­pet of the R&B star’s hit “Smack That!”

After calm­ing down a lit­tle but, SRK told reporters:

““Ra.One” is a super­hero film. There is a good guy, there is a bad guy, there is a beau­ti­ful girl, there is a won­der­ful singer and a fan­tas­tic director.”

“It’s a kind of film, a genre we guys haven’t tried at ‘Red Chilies.’ On behalf of the whole team, I would like to try and I hope we suc­ceed. It’s a new thing for all of us, so we are giv­ing it our best shot,” he added.

Suang Puangsri, a 38-year-old man from Thai­land lives in per­fect har­mony with his 4,600 pet scorpions.

Scor­pi­ons, grasshop­pers, locusts and other insects are con­sid­ered del­i­ca­cies in Thai­land and Suang Puangsri has been eat­ing them for the last 10 years. Suang has adapted his house to live with his unusual pets, about 4,600 scor­pi­ons, as part of his atone­ment after serv­ing the creepy crawlies on the menu for the past decade.

He feeds them and take care of their every need and ulti­mately releases them in their nat­ural habi­tat, in the forests of Uttara­dit. As you can see in the images, he has no prob­lem with his creepy pets crawl­ing all over his body and even in his mouth.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Bol­ly­wood Actress Pre­ity Zinta on the big screen, and now she is all ready to make a come­back of sorts.

Bollywood’s dim­pled beauty has report­edly agreed to do an item num­ber, or what she calls ‘a spe­cial song’ for the Salman-Kareena star­rer Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

Inter­est­ingly, the visual com­po­si­tion of the song and Preity’s out­fit is strik­ingly rem­i­nis­cent of Ash’s Kajra re.

Pre­ity, how­ever, is quick to clar­ify that she actu­ally has a role in the film, and there­fore the song is more than just an item number.

Accord­ing to the grapevine, like the title of the song, Pre­ity Zinta is look­ing Happening.

Bol­ly­wood Actress Shilpa Shetty is observ­ing a mauna vrat (vow of silence) as part of a well­ness course that she is pur­su­ing in One­ness Uni­ver­sity on the out­skirts of Chen­nai and says it helped her to con­nect with herself.

“I’ve taken out some ‘me’ time. I have been so busy with peo­ple, things and attain­ing my goals that I had for­got­ten about myself. This place has helped me get in touch with myself. You must be intrigued how… well right now am doing a mauna, that is, where I am not allowed to talk to any­one, so prac­tic­ing that, it’s dif­fi­cult but enjoy­ing it,” Shilpa Shetty posted on her blog.

“Not allowed to take any calls… could only check my emails,” she added.

The 34-year-old actress, who is a fit­ness and spri­ti­tu­al­ity freak, says she seeks solace there in the com­pany of her gurus — Amma and Bhag­van. “I fol­low their advice blindly, and it’s made a huge dif­fer­ence in my life, work and rela­tion­ships,” she said.

Shilpa Shetty has gone there for a spe­cial course to reju­ve­nate her­self after a “hec­tic six months”.

“This silence is so rare to find in our fast paced lives. It just com­forts. There are no lux­u­ries and that makes you value every­thing that you have. It’s also a cleans­ing process, which I feel we all need from time to time. The beauty is that the process is aspir­i­tual jour­ney with­out preaching.

“I would pre­scribe this place for any­one who needs a break and a dif­fer­ent and pos­i­tive way to liv­ing life,” she said.
