Lady Gaga — MTV VMAs 2009

Lady Gaga per­forms and accepts the award for Best New Artist dur­ing the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on Sun­day (Sep­tem­ber 13).

While accept­ing her award, the 23-year-old singer said her award was “for God, and for the gays.”

When Gaga arrived for the show and stepped out of her limo, she ran into none other than Ker­mit the Frog. This, after Lady Gaga wear­ing an inter­est­ing Ker­mit the Frog jacket on a Ger­man tele­vi­sion show cou­ple months ago.

On the red car­pet of the VMAs, Gaga and Ker­mit even stopped to share a kiss.

“He’s been a really good date,” Gaga said. “It’s our first date, but we’ve been eye­ing each other for a while.”

“We’re just friends!” Ker­mit claimed.

P.S. Did any­one else notice Mark Kane­mura from sea­son 4 of So You Think You Can Dance? He was one of Gaga’s backup dancers!
